Unusually Hot Weather Taking a Toll
This summer has been rediculously hot and the beginning of fall looks no differnt. It's supposed to be dry and in the mid to upper 90s again this week. This hot weather has definitely effected many ponds and streams around Kentucky with a huge fish die out. Now it looks like the acorns are dropping at least two to three weeks early. It's going to definitely change hunting with the change in deer patterns. Come on cool weather!
Nat'l Hunting and Fishing Day

September Hunting
September bow hunting. Let me sum it up. Climbed the stand.....figured out that there is a limb fallen and in my shooting lane.......climbed back up.......sweaty mess......no scent spray in my pouch........dogs chasing deer. That's been my season so far.

Opening Weekend
Labor Day weekend has been kind of slow for me. I've seen a ton of deer, just not any big bucks. The weather was nice and the moon was right but for some reason, the deer moved late both afternoons. I'm still not a fan of the season opening this early, but if it's open, I guess I'll keep going. Looking for my double drop tine monster.
