Fish and Wildlife released the "proposed" season dates for 2009/2010. Deer season will open again on September 5th. I feel like it's too early but that's my opinion. Modern gun will open November 14th. The youth deer hunting weekend will be October 10-11. The bull elk hunt will be October 3-16th. The youth-only elk hunt will be September 26-28. Also, there will be a free youth hunting week for small game December 26 to January 1st.
Hunters must have an Out-of-Zone Elk Permit to take elk from
any county NOT included in the 16-county elk restoration zone.
Out-of-Zone hunters must follow deer season and equipment
regulations.
